Nanma Maram is a tree expansion project started by Vanamitra Dr Saiju Khalid on March 30, 2017. He plants seedlings at all the ceremonies he attends as a guest and encourages others to plant.Subsequently, thousands of good trees were planted in Kerala, other states and abroad. What sets the Nanma Maram project apart is that it celebrates Environment Day 365 days a year. This project led to the receipt of the Vanamitra Award 2019 instituted by the State government. Representatives of the people, actors, political, religious and cultural leaders, various officials, teachers, students and many others from all walks of life have already participated in this project. The caption that gives the good tree to the tree expansion project is the signature before passing.
